International Bioeconomy and Macroalgae Center (IBMC) https://energybiosciencesinstitute.org/ibmc/ Non-Profit Org Government Established in 2024 by the EBI at the UC Berkeley campus, the IBMC comprises a network of international collaborations currently involving 10 countries and 15 institutions. Each institution hosts a unique advantage in the development of macroalgae-based solutions to address global sustainability challenges. Researchers in this network come from a variety of countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Korea, Japan, Israel, Norway, Ireland and French Polynesia.

Scottish Association of Marine Science (SAMS) https://www.sams.ac.uk/ Non-Profit Org Privately Held Founded in 1884 by Sir John Murray, an oceanographer and marine biologist, SAMS researches the marine environment and how to develop sustainable industries in it. It is located in Oban, on the west coast of Scotland.
