Phyconomy	https://phyconomy.net/	Non-Profit Org	Privately Held	Phyconomy offers a free directory of seaweed companies and consultants, as well as articles on the seaweed industry and a calendar of related events. It is operated by Steve Hermann out of Belgium.
International Bioeconomy and Macroalgae Center (IBMC)	https://energybiosciencesinstitute.org/ibmc/	Non-Profit Org	Government	Established in 2024 by the EBI at the UC Berkeley campus, the IBMC comprises a network of international collaborations currently involving 10 countries and 15 institutions. Each institution hosts a unique advantage in the development of macroalgae-based solutions to address global sustainability challenges. Researchers in this network come from a variety of countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Korea, Japan, Israel, Norway, Ireland and French Polynesia.

It has headquarters in Juneau, Alaska and operates programs out of Kodiak Alaska. It also coordinates traning across the Alaska islands and coasts.

UK Seaweed Network	https://www.ukseaweed.org/	Non-Profit Org	Government	The UK Seaweed Network brings together industry, reserachers, policymakers and environmental groups to share knowledge, provice resources and promote sustainable development across the seaweed value chain.
Scottish Association of Marine Science (SAMS)	https://www.sams.ac.uk/	Non-Profit Org	Privately Held	Founded in 1884 by Sir John Murray, an oceanographer and marine biologist, SAMS researches the marine environment and how to develop sustainable industries in it. It is located in Oban, on the west coast of Scotland.
